WHAT IS IN MY AFTERGLOW CANDLE?
100% natural coconut and soy wax (paraffin free). Unbleached cotton and linen wick.

WHY COCONUT & SOY WAX?
Our coconut and soy wax blend is 100% vegan. It is an eco-friendly option.
Soy wax is a vegetable wax derived from soybean oil. Soybeans are natural, renewable and biodegradable. Coconut wax is harvested from coconut crops which are sustainable and high yield.
When combined, this wax gives a wonderful hot and cold scent throw, and a smooth creamy finish. There will be no nasty fumes or black smoke when burning.
ARE AFTERGLOW CANDLES ECO-FRIENDLY?
Absolutely! Our candles are vegan, cruelty free and non-toxic. We do not use any single-use plastics in the manufacturing or delivery of our products. We use metal containers from recycled sources, and all containers and packaging can be recycled or reused.
The majority of our products are from UK based suppliers in an effort to support local businesses, and reduce our carbon footprint.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY AFTERGLOW CANDLES?
1) Place your candle on a flat, heatproof surface to light (away from children, pets and drafts).
2) The first burn should be about 2-3 hours, or until the whole surface is liquid wax. Subsequent burns should be between 45 minutes and 3 hours.
3) Always use a snuffer to extinguish your candle. Blowing it can cause burnt wick to drop into the hot wax.
4) Keep your wick trimmed to 5mm using a wick trimmer. This helps control the size of the flames and prevent mushrooming of the wick.
5) Stop burning your candle when there is only 1cm wax left in the tin.
CAN MY CANDLE TIN BE REUSED?
Of course. Plant pot? Make up brush holder? Stationary storage?
We’d love to see how you reuse your candle tin.
Top Tip: To get rid of the any leftover wax in your tin, place in the freezer overnight. Then, invert the tin onto a hard surface – the wax will pop right out.

HOW WILL MY CANDLE BE PACKAGED?
We use recyclable cardboard boxes to ship your candles. If the box has taken a knock, don’t worry, the candle will be fully surrounded by biodegradable packing peanuts. These can be recycled or dissolved in water.
